Baby's Name Wreath

I am SO excited to have another nephew!
Zeb Christopher Raynes was born on
Friday, April 5th, at 12:52 pm, weighing in at
at 7 lbs 1 oz!! Such a precious baby boy =)

I got to find out the baby's first name the night before
he was born, and made this wreath on the day of. I
think it's so cute, (but something different than a diaper
wreath, which are cute too) and it matches his nursery perfectly!

I just wrapped burlap ribbon around a straw wreath...

Hot glued the end down in place...

Mod podged scrapbook paper onto wooden letters
and let it dry.  You can see the outline of the B below...

Then I flipped the letters over and used
a boxcutter to cut around the letters...

Then I hot glued the Z and B to the wreath, and
overlapped the E onto the other letters to glue that down.
Finished it off with a blue ribbon to hang it with. I love it!

The wreath is cute, but not nearly as cute as my brand new nephew =)
He was perfectly healthy and I'm one proud aunt!!!

And I can't leave out Zeb's big sister, Tallie... she is so
cute with him... she affectionately named him "Monkey" while
he was in mommy's belly, so that's what everyone else started
calling him too... calling him Zeb will take some gettin' used to...
Anyways, this picture of Tallie holding her brother is so precious
so I HAD to include it =)

Church Bathroom Decorating

I redecorated the main women's bathroom at my church
recently... It was remodeled to be handicap accessible, and
I was asked to spruce it up a little.

The main area that I decorated was a little sitting area.

The first thing I found was the bench.  Then I added the
pillows and the rug.  The green floor vase with branches
was the next thing I knew I liked in that space.  I knew I
wanted a small table with a flower arrangement on the other
side of the bench (the table ended up being one of the
hardest items to find) and then I added the clock. I love the
round, metal decorative piece behind the bench.  I had a lady
from church make the curtains (thanks Marge!)  and hung them
on a shower curtain rod. I got some free wall art by framing
printables that I found online - I think they work perfectly in here!
And of course, every women's bathroom needs a full length mirror,
so I got a HUGE one! It took up a chunk of the budget, but I love it!

BEFORE AND AFTER OF THE ENTRYWAY:

In the stalls, I hung up a couple more frames with cute printables
that I found online. The frames resembled the mirrors that were
already hung up over the counter.  In the handicap stall, I also
added a large canvas print.

The countertop didn't have much space after soap and
tissues were set out, so all I did there was add a
flower arrangement similar to the one in the sitting area.

There is a small area behind the door of the bathroom that I wasn't
going to do anything to, BUT I had an extra frame, and then found a
fake plant at the church that wasn't being used. My mom suggested
doing a scenery picture in this frame, and I love the one we found online =)

Superhero Birthday Party

My nephew, Ethan, turned 4 last month!!
His mom (Kelly) planned a SUPERHERO
party for the family.....

Kelly made this cake herself - she is so talented!
All of Ethan's favorite superhero's on one cake -
Superman, Spiderman, and Batman!  Kelly made
a city skyline backdrop for the cake table, out of
black posterboard and colored foam.

She got superhero masks and capes with each kid's
initial as party favors - the kids loved them!
And the photo op area was so adorable...

And one of Ethan's favorite things about the party
was the weight that his uncles couldn't lift because
they weren't superhero's, but Ethan and his friends
could because they were!! It's amazing how entertaining
2 spraypainted foam balls attached to a pole can be for kids!
But they just loved it... the uncles were great to play it up bigtime =)
**if you watch, make sure your sound is on!**

Great party Kel! The kids had such a good time,
and so did all of us "big kids!" I wish I would have
gotten a better pictures of the kids in their
costumes, but this is as good as it gets:
