I saw this recipe on Pinterest and finally
got to use it... An entire meal thrown together
so quickly, and it was all pretty tasty!
Ingredients:
6-7 pieces of thawed chicken
2 cans of green beans
1 small bag of red potatoes
1 packet of dry Italian dressing
1 stick of melted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Quarter the potatoes, drain the green beans.
Arrange food in 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle Italian dressing over everything,
then drizzle the melted butter over everything.
Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for an hour. Then eat!
These amounts would serve 4 people generously...
probably 6 people if there were extra side dishes.
Honestly, the green beans were the best ones I've
ever made (and would be close to the best I've EVER
tasted too!). The potatoes were my least favorite out of
the three, but it was all still good. You just can't beat how
simple this is to make, and it's pretty easy clean-up too!
I attempted to cook this but after an hour the potatoes weren't tender at all. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteOh no!! The only suggestions I have is to either cut smaller cubes, or maybe pierce some holes in the pieces with a fork before cooking. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteI plan on making this tonight! BUT I am going to cut up my red skin potatoes evenly and I will "pre-cook" them by boiling for 10 minutes to so to give them a head start =)
ReplyDeleteYou really do not have to pre-cook the potatoes. Just make sure you choose the smallest red ones and cut thembin half or quarters. I never had a problem. Do not open the oven door during the cooking process.
ReplyDeleteI quarter my red potatoes and then stick them in the micro for 7 minutes or so... works like a charm
