WV vs. MU wreaths!

I made two wreaths to donate to a silent auction at our church

next weekend to benefit Royal Family Kids Camp, which ministers

to children mainly in the foster system.  It's a wonderful organization

and our church sponsors a week of camp for them each summer.

 

Anyways, there are plenty of both Marshall University and

West Virginia University fans at our church, so I figured these

wreaths would be just as good as any for people to bid on. I'm

curious to see which one will get a higher bid!!!

a harder time making the WV wreath - I think the blue deco mesh I

bought was harder to work with than the green (no, not because of the

color! a different brand maybe?) - OR maybe it was just because I

was sick when I made it! But I think it still turned out pretty cute.

If I was a Mountaineer fan, I would hang it on my door =)

Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

So I really thought every person in the world knew about

Buffalo Chicken Dip... but I made it for my bible study group

this week, and quite a few people said they'd never had it before!

So I figured I would share it, because it's SO easy and SO good! 

Note: there's a lot of variations of this recipe.

 

 Ingredients:

2 cans of pre cooked chicken

1 block of cream cheese

1 bag of mild shredded cheddar cheese

1 bottle of ranch dressing

hot sauce to taste

 

Directions:

Put all the ingredients in a crockpot. Add as little or as much hot

sauce as you want. Cook on high for 2 hours, stirring occassionally.

Serve with chips - tostitos, doritos, fritos, etc.
Any leftovers are still delicious warmed up in the microwave!

So if you are one of the few who hasn't been lucky enough to have
this.... try it! But I'll warn you.... it's addicting!!!

Minnie Mouse Party for Abby

My niece, Abby, turned TWO in September! She is the most
precious little girl whose answer to every question is NO, unless
 the question involves food, then the answer is most definitely "uh-huh!"
I can't believe how big she is getting =)

So I just really have to brag on my sister-in-law, Kelly, and show
you the AMAZING cake she made for Abby's party! And it tasted
just as good as it looks... I was so impressed! 

 

And here's the birthday girl, loving the cake!!

 

I had forgotten that I ordered this cute outfit for Abby a while back - it's called

the Birthday Tutu. It had pieces of sparkly confetti and flower petals

inside the tutu =) I ordered both the tutu and the top from Haloheaven.com.

They have low prices, fast shipping, and great customer service!! =)

 

Even though all our nieces and nephews get the gift of a contribution to their

college fund on their birthday (boring, but practical, and appreciated by

their parents!), I still like to try to find them a little something to open from their

Unc and Aunt Rachel =)  I found this cute little owl tote, and just ironed on

 Abby's name with yellow letters. I thought it was adorable and actually

would even carry this myself!
